A studioU SESSION...
studioU creates personalized portraits based on your lifestyle. This is accomplished by photographing you in your environment (home) or on-location. The location of your session is chosen during your phone consultation. Your session will begin at your home with a brief meeting to finalize clothing selections. From there we'll begin photographing at your home or travel to the chosen location.
NOTE: Families of 5 or more are best suited for an outdoor session.
HOW WILL U PHOTOGRAPH IN MY HOME?
This is the most common question and understandably so! Everyone's homes are different and we've heard over and over that "this won't work in my living room" or "I don't have any good spots to shoot". Don't fret. Upon our arrival we'll walk through your home (inside and out) to check for good lighting and possible backdrops. Sometimes we'll use a piece of your furniture or your wall paper and other times we'll use the backdrops we bring. We come prepared with all the lighting and equipment needed to create beautiful images.
THE BENEFITS OF IN HOME PHOTOGRAPHY
- Kids love it! They think we are just there to play and hang out. When children are in their own environment they are comfortable which leads to real smiles and expressions.
- Your clothes, shoes, accessories, ironing board and bathroom are right there! This makes it easy to change outfits and touch-up your hair or make-up. It's also great for wardrobe malfunctions, spit ups, spills and accidents. Too much baby drool on that onesie? Let's hit the closet!
- No travel, we come to U! How great is that? Your Session and Viewing Appointment will all take place at your home. This is especially nice for families with newborns and young children. We even deliver your finished prints!
- Design in mind. Being in your home offers a definite advantage when it comes to planning for your portraits. Together we can visualize options for your portrait displays and offer advice on framing and product options.
